Spreading Smiles the Forrest Gump Way

Forrest Gump was spotted around Rock Hill recently, and the smiles followed him straight into area hospitals. The character was brought to life by Blake Schooley, Sales and Marketing Director for Kempton of Rock Hill, as he called on case managers and referral partners throughout the community.

A winner of a Bubble Gum Shrimp Forrest Gump Impersonation Contest a few years ago, Blake occasionally steps into the role while visiting hospitals, delivering treats, sharing information,
and spreading genuine joy.

Staying fully in character, he pointed folks in the direction of Kempton and happily posed for photos with hospital staff.

For Blake, Forrest Gump represents warmth, kindness, and authenticity. He admires the character’s outlook, loyalty, and generosity. Marketing, he says, offers him the opportunity to be fun, memorable, and a little different while building real connections. And he means it when he says he has the best job in the world.
